Audrey Hepburn once said: "I have a dream to have a big wardrobe full of cashmere sweaters."
Now, more and more people are beginning to love and wear cashmere—known as "soft gold"—just like Hepburn. Cashmere clothing has also become the choice of many consumers for autumn and winter wear. At LANLY, we understand this passion for luxury and comfort, which is why we are dedicated to offering high-quality cashmere pieces that stand the test of time.
However, the question of how to prolong the lifespan of cashmere sweaters, cardigans, pants, scarves, accessories, and other apparel lines is of utmost importance to us. With proper care, LANLY cashmere clothing has the potential to last for decades, retaining its softness and elegance season after season.
We will show you how to care for LANLY cashmere below...

How to wash LANLY cashmere clothing?
-
Place a basin of cold water and add a bit of wool and cashmere-specific detergent. It's important to note that the detergent shouldn't come into direct contact with the fiber surface. Mix it thoroughly before submerging your LANLY garment. Turn the garment inside out, with the inner layer facing outwards, and reverse the cashmere sweater while washing. This also helps prevent pilling.
-
Press gently a few times—be careful not to rub, otherwise the fibers will felt and pill. Change the water and repeat the process. LANLY cashmere garments are easy to clean, so be sure to use clean water and avoid soaking the detergent for too long. It’s also best to wash different colors separately to avoid fading.
-
After washing, gently squeeze out excess water—do not twist. Lay the garment lengthwise on a clean bath towel and roll it up. Gently press the towel to absorb moisture.
-
Finally, unfold the towel and lay the garment flat to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight. LANLY cashmere dries relatively quickly, and using a specialized drying net is recommended. Turn it halfway through drying, and never hang it in direct sunlight to prevent stretching or yellowing.
Daily wear tips for LANLY cashmere:
1. Cashmere is delicate, so be mindful of friction. Avoid pulling the fabric forcefully to prevent shedding. Slight pilling is normal and not a sign of poor quality.
2. Avoid contact with corrosive substances.
3. Dust regularly with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to keep it fresh.
4. Avoid wearing the same LANLY cashmere piece for extended periods. Give it at least a week between wears to maintain elasticity and prevent fiber fatigue.

Storage Instructions for LANLY cashmere:
1. Before storing, make sure to wash, iron, and dry the items thoroughly to prevent mold and moths. You may use desiccants or insect repellent bags if needed.
2. Fold LANLY cashmere garments, place them in a breathable bag, and lay them flat. Avoid hanging to prevent deformation.
3. Store in a shaded, cool area to prevent fading.
4. Ventilate the storage area regularly and keep it dust-free and dry.
About Pilling:
Cashmere clothing is susceptible to pilling due to the natural scales on the surface of its fibers. This layer causes fibers to rub against each other during wear, leading to pilling. LANLY cashmere is known for its exquisite fibers and soft texture, achieved through a careful milling process that enhances these qualities. While this process gives the fabric a beautifully soft finish, minimal friction during wear can still result in pilling—this is completely normal and not a defect.
How to deal with pilling on LANLY cashmere:
Once pilling appears, avoid tugging at it with your hands. Instead, lay the garment flat and use a pill trimmer to gently remove the pills, or carefully snip them off with fine scissors. As loose fibers are shed, the pilling will gradually reduce.

About Fading:
At LANLY, we take pride in our craftsmanship. Fading is not a concern with our cashmere. When washing dark-colored LANLY cashmere for the first time, you may notice a small amount of dye in the water—this is not fading, but rather excess dye from the high-concentration coloring process. We use premium reactive dyes to ensure colorfastness. To preserve the color, avoid wringing, direct sunlight, and prolonged soaking.
How to prevent LANLY cashmere from deforming:
Cashmere fibers are naturally elastic, but proper care helps them retain their shape. To prevent your LANLY cashmere sweater from losing its form, avoid wearing it more than two days in a row—this allows the fibers to recover. Rotating between two favorite pieces is a smart way to extend their life and keep them looking their best.
